Jesse Myers

Throughout his career Jesse has focused primarily on litigating and trying cases. He has successfully represented clients across a wide variety of matters, including personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage and extra-contractual claims. His practice also includes product liability litigation, business and commercial disputes, professional malpractice and employment matters, title and property claims, estate and probate proceedings, as well as construction, energy and agricultural related issues. Though generally hired to assist in defense, Jesse has obtained multi-million dollar recoveries for plaintiffs.

Jesse’s reputation as a dedicated and successful lawyer is not the result of boastful claims, phony accolades, or advertising spin. Rather, his reputation has been hard won through litigation, trials, and appeals against some of the largest law firms in the United States. It has been earned time and again during long hours of tireless work on behalf of his clients in difficult and complex cases. And it is demonstrated by the victories he has obtained in many kinds of cases, in many unique ways, and in many different settings (a unanimous opinion from the Montana Supreme Court Jesse secured on behalf of two Montana cattle ranchers can be read here: https://cases.justia.com/montana/supreme-court/2021-da-20-0462.pdf?ts=1621379144).

Following law school, Jesse worked for the Office of the State Public Defender where he defended and tried numerous cases involving allegations ranging from DUI to deliberate homicide. In 2011, he transitioned to a civil insurance defense practice before representing a national transportation company on an array of claims and lawsuits, including some of the biggest litigation exposures in Montana. Jesse founded MurphyMyers PLLC with Brooke Murphy in 2018 to provide full service, first-class legal services spanning the spectrum of litigation and related areas.

Jesse is committed to serving the public good. He is the past president of the board of directors for the Billings District Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and continues to advocate for its mission of providing assistance and hope to society’s neediest without discrimination. Jesse and his family are also long-time supporters of Eagle Mount, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through recreation and opportunities to embrace life without limits. Through his pro bono efforts, Jesse has positively touched the lives of countless individuals and organizations who cannot afford legal counsel. Whenever he gets any free time, Jesse spends as much of it as possible with his amazing family.
